Rocky Mountain National Park, Part 5 - July 24 & 25, 2005 (Re-run)

One of my favorite memories from RMNP is the hike to Mills Lake, about six miles round trip with an elevation change of 780 feet.  Along the way, the trail passes Alberta Falls, one of the most popular in the park.  Lots of people end their hike at the waterfall, only about .8 mile from the trailhead.  For those who continue on, Glacier Gorge presents many beautiful scenes to maintain motivation for the ascent.  Mills Lake is only one destination, several side trails lead to other lakes or to Longs Peak, the highest point in the park at 14,259 feet.

Our last day in the park (for this visit) we spent touring around enjoying the scenery and the wildlife.
