Cottonwood Canyon, Utah - March 10, 2007 (Re-run)

Cottonwood Canyon, located between Page, AZ and Kanab, UT, is part of the magnificent Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument.  Formed partly by the monocline known as The Cockscomb, the canyon provides a scenic drive over an unpaved road for nearly fifty miles.  Several slot canyons and unique rock formations break up the flat desert environment, inviting hikers to stretch their legs.  The road passes Grosvenor Arch, a rare double arch formation, and finally leads to Kodachrome Basin State Park.
