Grand Mesa, CO (1/5/2019)

On the last day of my family's visit, the long-awaited opportunity for snowmobiling finally arrived.  Looking at the various outfitters that offer snowmobile tours, we settled on Grand Mesa Adventures.  The price was reasonable, tour length was appropriate, tandem machines were available and, most importantly, the folks who operate the business are very nice and extremely safety conscious.  I think everyone felt this was the highlight of their trip.

The first order of business was to get fitted for helmets and goggles.  Wearing ski outfits satisfied all other requirements.
After being issued helmets, everyone assembled outside for operating instructions.
Once all instructions had been communicated, the group drove away to experience the great outdoors in a brand new way.  Lauren and Amy on one machine, Ashley and Randy sharing the other.  A young couple from South Dakota were also part of the tour.

The following photos were taken by the tour guides as part of the package.

After a while, the girls got to drive the machines.

While taking a break, another group photo was in order.
Then it was back on the trail.
Randy and Ashley flipped their machine at one point, but I'm not sure who was driving at the time.  No big deal, we were told it happens all the time.

There were a few videos, as well.

The next day, my little group of adventurers drove back to Denver for the flight home.  Needless to say, Mother Nature gave them one last taste of snow to drive through.  Thankfully, they made it without incident and safely arrived back in Florida later that evening.  What a wonderful treat it was for me to have them visit.  Now plans are being made for the next family adventure, a cruise to Alaska in June.  For now, I'll be heading to southern Arizona just as soon as the snow lets up.
