Park City & Provo Canyon, Utah - July 26, 2007 (Re-run)

We had guests flying into Salt Lake City, but we were staying in Park City, about twenty-five miles away.  Park City is a beautiful mountain town that was the site of the 2002 Winter Olympics.  It's always fun to visit a former Olympic site and see first-hand some of the world class venues.  We especially enjoyed watching skiers practice on the jumps, as well as exploring the museum there.

Later, we toured the Sundance facility in Provo Canyon, a Robert Redford development that hosts an annual film festival for independent movie makers.  Sundance is also a ski resort and we took advantage of the ski lift to get great views of the Wasatch Mountains.  The canyon also has a couple waterfalls, such as the popular Bridal Veil.

  1. Such a fun post! I love seeing my home grounds. :) Bridal Veil was a very favorite family excursion we would make often. Before the Olympics, as a youth I got to help prepare some of the areas, and my family got to go see the Aerial skiers and Ice dancing during the events. Neat experience! Thanks for sharing Stan!
