Waynesville and Great Smoky Mountains N P, NC - April 20 thru 22, 2005 (Re-run)

One of many visits to North Carolina, this one was at a nice time of year.  While some areas had lingering remnants of Winter, many others were bursting with Spring flowers and flowering trees.  As always, we looked for waterfalls and there were plenty to be found.

In Cherokee, the Whispering Giant created by Peter Toth is Sequoyah, famous among many tribes for developing the first Indian alphabet.  Then we saw a demonstration farm that shows how early settlers in the region lived.
