Grand Canyon is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of The World, the fifteenth U.S. National Park. and the second most visited national park. Carved by the Colorado River over millions of years, the canyon is 277 miles long, ranges from four to eighteen miles wide, and is more than a mile deep in places. To say it is awe inspiring doesn't do it justice, it is almost beyond description.
I've visited Grand Canyon numerous times, but this was the only time there in winter. Snow around the rim added an extra dimension, and cold weather limited the crowds to a large extent. This may have been my favorite visit for those reasons.
