Ouray, Colorado Continued - August 24 & 25, 2007 (Re-run)

 While staying in Ouray, we made day trips to a number of nearby (100 miles or less) locations.  On one day, we visited the famous western town and ski resort, Telluride, and its sister community, Mountain Village, which is accessed via a free gondola ride.  At the top, we looked down into the box canyon where Telluride is located.

We also dropped by Woods Lake and Trout Lake before returning via Last Dollar Road that goes over a 10,000 foot pass.  The next day, we drove into Yankee Boy Basin to enjoy the wildflowers, waterfalls and majestic mountain scenery.
