Glacier National Park, Montana, Part 7 - July 8-12, 2007 (Re-run)

When you visit Glacier, you not only get to see its incomparable beauty, but there is also the opportunity to take in its sister park across the border in Canada.  Alberta's Waterton Lakes National Park is a uniquely beautiful place in its own right and worthy of a day trip.  The border crossing here is likely the easiest of any in the system, but very few come this way.  By the way, the drive to get there is very scenic.  You know you've arrived when you see the iconic Prince of Wales Hotel.  The downtown is small and quaint, and the park offers the same kind of beauty as Glacier.  On this visit, we took a boat tour that actually travels back into the U.S. and Glacier N P while cruising Upper Waterton Lake.
