Leavenworth, Washington, Part 2 - June 18, 2007 (Re-run)

The mountains surrounding Leavenworth are full of gorgeous alpine lakes.  The outflow of one, Lake Josephine, is called Icicle Creek or Icicle River, depending on which source you reference.  Whatever, it is a raging stream down the mountains until it enters Wenatchee River just outside of town.  I'll let you guess why it's called "Icicle".  There is a nature trail along much of the stream so folks can enjoy its unique beauty.  While officially designated as non navigable, it is a mecca for the most adventurous kayakers.  We took time to follow a group of these brave souls as they took on the icy water.
