Boise, Idaho - May 18-22, 2007 (Re-run)

This wasn't our first time in Boise, but it was the first visit long enough to tour the town and some of the surrounding territory.  I wanted to go into the capitol building, but we arrived the day it was closed for major renovation.  The stadium at Boise State University, with its blue turf, was another "must see".  The state high school track championships were being held the day we were there, so we had the experience of watching those events.  Spring had also arrived, presenting us with beautiful gardens and wildflower fields.  Outside of town, we saw huge farms, raging rivers, large reservoirs and lovely mountains.  There were churches old and new, and an old general store with plenty of character.  We even got a small sampling of snow as we drove around.
